What Happened to Your New Year’s Resolutions?

Have you ever made New Year’s Resolutions?

Have you ever followed through with them?

I came across this video today. Anthony Robbins is brilliant as he explains how you can make “progress” in many areas of your life by following simple steps. I’m not much for making New Year’s Resolutions and in fact I’ve stopped making them entirely. However I value the idea of creating “progress” in my life – learning, growing, and evolving.

I absolutely LOVE Anthony’s perspective on making “progress” and the simple steps he provides to creating the results you want in your life. His message in a nutshell is regardless of where you are right now if you’re willing to put a little bit of effort you can get to wherever it is you want to be.

You have the power to create the life of your dreams.

Anthony explains the three steps to experiencing “progress” are having “a compelling vision”, “strong reasons”, and “reviewing and feeling” the vision and reasons daily. He talks about breaking down your goals to small pieces and having a “ritual”.

Essentially a “ritual” is the small steps you take each day that overtime creates a “momentum” toward your vision. You need to make these steps a “must” and “find a way” to do them “consistently”. He talks about raising our standards, and by that becoming all that we can be.

The race is against yourself. It is you against you.

I love the questions he asks at the end. Two of the questions that stand out to me were “What are the rituals that are keeping me here?” and “What are the rituals that will take me to my vision?” In other words, what is holding me back? and What is going to propel me to my vision?

Hope you enjoy this video as much as I did. I absolutely loved it. If you found it helpful share it on Facebook and Twitter. Thank you.

Peace, Love & Gratitude,
